TITLE:             PROJECT LEADER
SALARY:          $16.67 p/hr w/excellent benefits
LOCATION:     Electric Construction Division - Fort Defiance, Arizona

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Vocational/Specialized training in utility construction and/or engineering, or equivalency of work experience
  • 5 years experience in Project Management or Construction Management
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access, Power point, MS Projects, and Outlook)
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills, well organized and ability to multi-task
  • Candidate must have strong work ethics, detailed oriented, and a self-starter
  • Requires a Valid Driver’s License  (subject to motor vehicle review)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Provide status and assist with proper orientation for optimum results and consistency. 
  • Learn and understand the roles and responsibilities of the different project players.
  • Plan Resource requirements by work building structure (WBS), and by project fundamentals: result, scope, and performance.  
  • Develop processes to estimate, procure, receive, store, disperse, and account for resources; management, methods, machinery, materials, budgets, time and related information.
  • Create standards for measuring progress against Time, Cost, Quantity, and Quality.
  • Identify risks, and assess variances, changes, contingencies, and scenarios.
  • Ensure projects are in compliance with all regulatory laws including RUS, NEC, NTUA standards, environmental, hazardous waste, OSHA and other safety requirements
  • Conducts field investigations and collects field data for recommendation and decision making.
  • Monitors crew activities, schedules and tracks construction progress.
  • Coordinates construction activities with internal and external agencies
  • Reviews projects; ensures accuracy and completion of project documentation
  • Provides written reports on production and progress to the supervisor
  • Develop databases for monitoring, tracking, and reporting
  • Assists in providing input on employee performance goals, criteria and assess work performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested
