2010 Consumer Confidence Report: It’s about Your Water
The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority maintains and operates 90 water systems throughout the Navajo Nation. These water systems are tested to assure our customers that the water provided by NTUA meets federal and tribal safe drinking water standards, which include publishing annual reports for each water system. The federal mandate requires public water suppliers that serve the same people year round (community water systems) to provide consumer confidence reports (CCR) to their customers. These reports are also known as annual water quality reports or drinking water quality reports. The CCR summarizes information regarding sources used (i.e., rivers, lakes, reservoirs, or aquifers) any detected contaminants, compliance and educational information. The reports are due to customers by July 1st of each year. |
