Following a series of public information meetings and a complete review of all comments, the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority Management Board has approved a rates increase proposal designed to meet the water and wastewater operations, maintenance, and capital infrastructure needs for the next four years from 2012 to 2015. The NTUA Management Board held a formal Public Hearing Monday, July 9, 2012 to officially consider the NTUA staff recommendation to increase the base rates for water and wastewater utilities. The new rates will become effective August 1, 2012. NTUA does not bill for water; however, it charges for the cost of pumps, storing, treating and delivery of safe drinking water and the collection and disposal of wastewater. These costs are reflected on NTUA bills each month. This web-page is designed to help you understand the recent rate increase. If you have any questions, please e-mail us at waterrates@ntua.com.
